I had an ache in my heart as we arrived to our destination. Rick reminded me that we couldn’t do anything more and prayed with me to try and ease my anxiety.

It started me thinking about the many times I experience other situations where I feel completely discombobulated and out of sorts.  Sometimes I wish I had a place or a way to recombobulate and regroup.

When we said our final goodbye, surrounding her in the Tight circle of family she had created in her womb… Whom she had nurtured and served all her life, It was to release her to the freedom of heaven, To the great love of God and all who had gone before.

Sometimes my intentions drift like snow.

Sometimes the most disappointing defeats have taught me the greatest lessons in flexibility, perseverance, tenacity, integrity, and dedication.

Could God completely protect her from harm? No, but I remembered that He loves her more than me. In fact He loved her first.

Sometimes our burdens blind our ability to experience the peace and joy that the Lord wants to give us. 

Would I have come away from that experience knowing that I had just witnessed the presence of the Living God?  Or would I have been more enamored, like a child, with waving of the palm branches, the excitement of the crowd, and even the donkey? I hope that I would have the awareness of the presence of my Savior and savor the experience of standing on Holy Ground.
