Required Retreat

Hi Friends!

These are unprecedented times and each of our lives have been disrupted. I’ll be working on a new devotion- Distraction of Disruption. But in the meantime, I wanted to give you this resource. Some of you may have seen this online through Facebook or Instagram. It’s my Required Retreat Worksheet. It is my prayer that you can use it as a source of support, accountability, and encouragement. I chose the words Required Retreat as a way of re-framing from the negative connotations of a mandated quarantine or living in isolation. But there are stresses, fear, and anxiety all associated with this time of separation. I have focused on four areas of our life impacted by this change: Mental, Physical, Social, and Spiritual. With each area, I have given two ways to refocus your thoughts and actions, a Scripture reference, and on the worksheet, I provide a space to record your personal thoughts.

I’d love to hear from you if this worksheet is helpful. How you used it. How it encouraged you or supported someone else.  Please let me know by a comment on my page or responding to this email. I have tried without success to attach this to this email, but you may have to go to this link to get the downloadable copy. Required Retreat forms

Thank you for joining me on this journey of faith. May we all continue to grow and discover ways to grow closer to Christ and to each other. In these challenging times, one of my favorite verses is Isaiah 41:10;

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

As always, I appreciate your encouragement and seek to serve!
